Pros and Cons
Tires are essential components of a vehicle, and they come with their own set of pros and cons. On the positive side, tires provide crucial traction and handling for reliable and controlled driving. Quality tires can enhance a vehicle's performance and offer a smoother, more comfortable ride while lasting for an extended period. Versatile tire types cater to various weather and road conditions, providing convenience. However, the cost can be a significant upfront investment, and specialized tires may excel in specific conditions but underperform in others. All tires wear down over time, requiring replacements, and seasonal changes may require swapping tires. Also, selecting an incompatible tire for a vehicle can negatively impact performance and safety. Understanding these pros and cons is crucial when choosing the right tires to meet specific driving needs and preferences.
The General G-Max AS-07 tire presents several notable advantages for drivers seeking a high-performance all-season tire. One of its primary pros lies in its versatile nature, as it is capable of delivering impressive traction and handling in various weather conditions, including dry and wet surfaces. This makes it a perfect year-round solution for drivers who prefer the convenience of not needing to switch tires with the seasons. Furthermore, its responsive handling and cornering grip add a touch of excitement to the driving experience, making it a favorite among driving enthusiasts. With a competitive price point and good tread life, the General G-Max AS-07 offers remarkable value for money, ensuring both performance and longevity for any driver.
Its all-season capabilities make it a practical choice for urban and highway driving, offering responsive handling, good traction, and the convenience of not needing seasonal tire swaps. With its affordability and balanced performance, the General G-Max AS-07 appeals to a diverse audience, from daily commuters to driving enthusiasts looking for a tire that enhances their on-road experience. While it excels in many aspects, it's important to note that it's primarily designed for street and highway use and may not be ideal for off-road or heavy-duty applications.
While the General G-Max AS-07 tire offers several benefits, there are some drawbacks to consider. One of the primary cons is its limited performance in severe winter conditions. While it performs well in light snow and slush, it is not a substitute for dedicated winter tires on icy or heavily snow-covered roads. Additionally, due to its performance-oriented design, the G-Max AS-07 may have a slightly shorter tread life than standard all-season tires, resulting in more frequent replacements. Although it offers excellent value for money, the G-Max AS-07 is typically priced higher than basic all-season tires. Lastly, for those prioritizing a softer and more comfortable ride, its responsive handling may lead to a slightly firmer driving experience. Despite these drawbacks, the General G-Max AS-07 remains a popular choice for those who value its balanced performance and versatility in various driving conditions.

Compared to the OE Good Year Eagle SRA tires, these are leaps and bounds better! Sound, grip, looks, etc are phenomenal. Shipping and customer service was amazing. Thank you Sherrie from Customer Service!
Better than the pirellis these replaced, 22" tire...overall good through 8K of driving. Ran through a huge downpour and no issue with hydroplaning....no winter driving yet so cannot coment
I've run these tires for a couple thousand miles on my E46, and so far I love them. They seem to grip really well in the wet and dry, ride smooth and quiet, and so far seem to be holding up well as far as tread wear. I hope to get many miles out of these. I hold back on 5 stars on the tread wear for the reason that I simply haven't run them long enough yet. The price was one of the main factors, as I had also been considering Continental DWS 06 Extreme Contacts, but these seemed fairly comparable for lower price.
